Masters in Digital Currency

Die Nachfrage nach akademischer und beruflicher Blockchain-Ausbildung und -Zertifizierung ist ungebrochen. Die Universität von Nikosia erkannte als erste diesen Bedarf und bot daraufhin den ersten Master of Science in digitaler Währung an, der seit 2014 weltweit über ein Online-Format für Studierende verfügbar ist.

Der MSc in Digital Currency soll Finanzdienstleistern und Geschäftsleuten, Unternehmern, Regierungsbeamten und öffentlichen Verwaltern helfen, die technischen Grundlagen der Kryptowährungen und der Blockchain-Technologie besser zu verstehen. Außerdem soll das Verständnis dahingehend vertieft werden, wie am besten mit den bestehenden Währungs- und Finanzsystemen interagiert werden kann.

Bridging the Gap

Das Programm soll eine wichtige Lücke schließen, die heute zwischen Angebot und Nachfrage nach akademischem Wissen in den Bereichen Kryptowährungen und Blockchain-Technologie besteht. Während das Interesse an Blockchain in den letzten Jahren sprunghaft angestiegen ist, haben akademische Institutionen akademische Programme, die den Bedarf an Ausbildung von Fachleuten in diesem Bereich abdecken, nur langsam umgesetzt und sich in seiner Gesamtheit (sowohl in technischer als auch in finanzieller Hinsicht) mit diesem Thema befasst.

Immer mehr Finanz-, Bank-, Computer-, Lieferketten-, SaaS-, AI- und IoT-Unternehmen entdecken die Vorteile dieser Technologie. Dieses neue Potenzial und die damit verbundenen neuen Risiken müssen von Expertinnen und Experten sorgfältig bewertet werden, nicht nur in einem Bereich, sondern über die Schnittstelle vieler Expertentangenten.

In diesem zunehmend wettbewerbsorientierten und vernetzten Umfeld gibt es viele Herausforderungen und es gibt keine einfachen Lösungen.
