„Die Fußball-Wette“ – Über Teamgeist und Durchhaltevermögen

Rechtzeitig zum Start der Fußball-Europameisterschaft 2021 präsentiert der österreichische Autor Jo Piccol sein erstes Fußballbuch für Kinder mit dem Titel „Die Fußball-Wette – ein tierisch spannendes Spiel“.

Mit seinem jüngsten Buch möchte Piccol aber nicht nur Lust auf diesen Sport machen, sondern auf spielerische und humorvolle Weise auch die Bedeutung von Teamgeist und Durchhaltevermögen vermitteln.

Sind Teamgeist und Durchhaltevermögen nicht genau auch die Eigenschaften, welche uns helfen würden, die großen Probleme unserer Welt in Angriff zu nehmen?

Ausgestattet mit wunderschönen Zeichnungen der kroatischen Illustratorin Nikolina Dinješ verspricht diese Geschichte, in der die Tiere des Waldes um die Wette kicken und der Ball zum Nabel der Welt wird, aufregende Momente bis zur letzten Seite.

„Ich bin der beste Fußballer im ganzen Wald!“, ist Max der Hase überzeugt. Er tritt mit seinem Team gegen die Mannschaft von Reineke Fuchs an. Doch dieser hat sich schlauerweise im Vorfeld bereits die Dienste der besten Spieler im Wald gesichert. Kann Max mit seinem FC Rabbit, einer zusammengewürfelten Truppe aus Underdogs, gegen die Stars von Foxhill United bestehen?

Das Motto lautet jedenfalls: Aufgegeben wird nur ein Brief, denn der Ball ist rund, und im Fußball ist alles möglich. Abgerundet wird die Geschichte durch ein schönes Quiz im letzten Kapitel, bei dem die Kinder einige Fragen zum Thema Fußball beantworten sollen und so ihr Wissen über diese Sportart ausbauen können.

Nicht nur die Lust am Spiel, sondern auch echter Teamgeist und Durchhaltevermögen werden in diesem humorvollen Buch großgeschrieben. Dabei lassen auch die tierischen Charaktere wie ihre menschlichen Vorbilder keine Tricks aus, um das Match zu gewinnen.

Über den Autor

Jo Piccol wurde in Langenwang/Stmk. geboren und tat sich schon in frühen Jahren als Schülerzeitungsredakteur und Kabarettist hervor. Er studierte Publizistik sowie Theater-, Film und Medienwissenschaft in Wien und ist seither als Texter und Kreativdirektor in der Werbebranche tätig. Daneben lehrt er Marketing und Werbung an der HBLV für Graphische Berufe und der FH in Wien. Er veröffentlichte bisher die Reisesatire „2 Schweine in Australien“ (gemeinsam mit Joe S. Nuts), die Kriminalgroteske „Copy Killa“ sowie das Kultbuch „Anstaltsnotizen“. Darüber hinaus ist er Herausgeber der Buchreihe „Untote Klassiker“. Er ist Fan des SK Rapid Wien und passionierter Hobbykicker.
